Welcome to the Guardians CCG Page

This is a site dedicated to the Guardians collectible card game released by FPG in the mid '90s. This was a great game featuring beautiful artwork and a complex battle system. The game is now out of print and some cards are extremely difficult to find.

Here you will find alternate rules and game mods (including solo play), homebrew cards, and links to other Guardians sites.

First, sorry to hear about your wrist.

Second, I like this card. Actually, I'm intrigued by this card. In Necropolis Park or Drifters Nexus, it would have been pratically useless, but the "cursed" attribute changes that. Yes, I'd like to see where you're going with these. They migth spark a few ideas of my own, but I'll wait to see the territory you stake out first.

Thanks C.J.! My first thought when implementing the cursed attribute was to make sure it would be compatible with previous sets, because it obviously did not exist to this point. I felt that these global Command cards are a great way to give creatures from the base set and expansions that attribute.

Having said that, I felt that Mortals and Externals should be the primary recipients of the cursed attribute, while Elementals would be difficult to curse. But I'm still evolving the process, so we'll see what happens.

Cursing an Elemental, such as a Spirit, does sound silly. They would be the ones doing the cursing (I would think).

One could suppose that the Undead were already cursed, but if they weren't, adding a Curse to them as well is just nasty. Too bad for them.

And if you curse a Pirate ... you get Capt. Barbarossa and the crew of the Black Pearl.
