Welcome to the Guardians CCG Page

This is a site dedicated to the Guardians collectible card game released by FPG in the mid '90s. This was a great game featuring beautiful artwork and a complex battle system. The game is now out of print and some cards are extremely difficult to find.

Here you will find alternate rules and game mods (including solo play), homebrew cards, and links to other Guardians sites.

Last-minute card revision

I forgot I wanted to change the text for Caravan Route. This card has gone through more changes than any other card, first as an Event to Terrain, and now in the body of the text:

I chose the text based on the artwork, but I was never happy with it. I dropped the Spires & Jungle aspects, and removed the bonus for bribable creatures. I then added spending a Power Stone to look for a Shield if you bribed a creature this turn. The main reason is in going back through the message boards, it seemed like many people thought bribery was useless, while I feel it is an important part of the game. Therefore I created a system that gives you a small added advantage for using bribery...you can get a free Shield onto a Stronghold for only 1 Stone.

Hi Jackalwere,

Congratulations, Your cards are fabulous. When I saw them the first time, i thinked that that it was an official new extention. I like this game a lot but it is hard to find players nowadays. I still can't understand why this game didn't work!

I would like to know if it is possible to have champion's odyssey extention with a just a little better quality because i realy want to print them and i tried but impression of a card was a little "pixelized".

I enjoy your work a lot ! You revive this fantastic card game.

Best Regards from France,

Mike

PS: If you want i have a scan set of Seven Seas extention in very good quality to print.

Mikael, thank you for the compliments. Designing my own set was hard work, but I'm very pleased with the results. I hope you enjoy them.

The cards are slightly pixilized because I have limited upload amounts from my internet service provider, and uploads are also rather slow, so I have uploaded them as jpegs. Eventually I will create PDF sheet sets like Phil has done with the Seven Seas, but that is a future project.

Hi Jackalwere, Thanks for your response. I enjoy your cards, text & illustrations are well balanced. I am waiting to print them. I tried to print one but the result wasn't good. That's why I asked you if you had a way to have them in better quality.
To put your Champion's Odyssey set in my ring binder and to play them.

The Seven Seas scan set I told you isn't the one you can find in Philbarfly.free.fr. It is another one with some exclusive cards. Maybe it can interest you.

Best Regards,

Mike

Mike, of course I would be interested. I can't email better images, but I could send them on disc. Check my profile for my email address and send me an email.

Best regards,

Brian
